INVESTIGATION OF MODIFIED CEDAR NUT SHELL-BASED SORBENTS

چکیده

The investigation was carried out to establish influences of thermal, chemical and thermochemical modifications on compositions functional groups the sorbents based nut shells Siberian cedar (Pinus sibirica) their physical properties. Samples natural (CNS) were thermally-modified at T=300 °С analyzed by methods potentiometric titration Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. It has been established that CNS possess 1.5–1.7 2.3–4.3 times as many hydroxyl carboxyl in constitution grading 0.1–0.5 0.55–0.75 mm, respectively, CNS. Chemical modification nitric acid solutions with various concentrations (0.5–5n). shown being treated 5n HNO3, samples mm 3.5 CNS, while an increased number only. Thermochemical 2 stages: first, firing a temperature 300 °С, then HNO3 concentrations. revealed this results increasing predominantly carbon sorbents. isotherm sorption copper (II) ions modified describes microporous solids relatively small outer surface, whereas zinc polymolecular adsorption onto both porous macroporous adsorbents. chemically thermochemically are most effective extract ions.

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Thermal study of phenol-formaldehyde resin modified with cashew nut shell liquid

In this study, an experimental phenol–formaldehyde resin with 20% phenol replacement by cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) was studied and compared with a conventional phenol–formaldehyde resin synthesized totally from petrochemical rawmaterials. The resins were characterizedwith standard lab analysis for their physicochemical specifications, while their thermal properties were studied with thermog...

Co2 Adsorption by Surface Modified Carbon Sorbents

Anthropogenic emissions have increased the CO2 concentration on the atmosphere with over 30% compared to pre-industrialize levels [1]. Most of these anthropogenic emissions are caused by fossil fuel utilization, where around one-third is due to electricity generation from fossil fuel combustion, mainly from coal-fired units. Furthermore, fossil fuel electricity generation units rank as the firs...

Investigation of short-range cedar pollen forecasting.

Pollen forecasting is of increasing interest as a way to help the general public avoid contact with allergy-inducing pollen. It was recently reported that the dynamics underlying pollen concentration series is very similar to that of low-dimensional deterministic chaos, thus opening up new avenues of development in local pollen forecasting. Our analysis of hourly cedar pollen series for two sea...
